John William Henderson from Newcastle served with the 4th Volunteer company of the 2nd battalion Northumberland Fusiliers he enlisted 15-2-1901 & served in South Africa from 15-3-1901 to 21-6-1902 when he returned to the UK & took his discharge the following day. He was discharged to a pension with a silver war badge 25-5-1917 & the award of the August to november 1914 clasp for the ribbon of the recipients 1914 Star is confirmed on the MIC

George Alexander Barnett was born in Halton, Northumberland on 5 May 1898, the son of Captain Edward Barnett, Northumberland Hussars, and was educated at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Entitled to a three clasp Crimea Medal, Sebastopol, Alma & Inkerman. NEF & Complete with MIC & medal roll details. He was both born & enlisted in Newcastle & is buried in Lonsdale Cemetery at Authuille. James Brayton served with the 2/4th battalion of the Border Regiment & was later issued with the six figure territorial Force service number 200662.He is also entitled to the IGS 1908 with Afghanistan NWF 1919 Clasp but this is missing from the group.
